Moar on Censorship: Mass Effect banned in Singapore :P (Oh look, a DVD extra!)

Oh man, I just heard the news.

Singapore bans Mass Effect for lesbian scene.

Oh man, I would be so pissed if I didn’t realize how funny the sex scene was.

If this does not deter lesbians, I don’t know what will 😛

Then again, we banned Bioshock and Half-Life for a spell 😛 (Yes Half-Life was banned in Singapore for a while.)

I am looking forward to Mass Effect; it’ll be an epic game.

Looking at how inward-looking the country is (if it can produces fools like DM, ODEX and tsubaki, well, you decide), I guess it does go to show how stupid we really are.

And it’s quite ironic, for it undermines the drive for Singapore to become a gaming hub. Banning a good game over a bit of horrifying lesbian sex (Think about it. 40 breasts filled with nipples. Just as scary as lotus breasts). isn’t really going to help thigs. Then again, I don’t really have high hopes for Singapore to become a gaming hub.

Well, this also means that by depriving a legal means to get the game, it also lets piracy flourish, and we all know how this country is so anti-piracy.

Then again, I’m not surprised. This country allows casinos, which also attract bad company like flies to honey, to be built while banning games.  I’m not surprisd at all the negative flak Singapore has, and frankly most, if not all of it, of it is well-deserved.

I guess the only thing I can say (and learned from it) is this:

PS to MDA, THE PAP and any government official reading this: I’ll be expecting my DMCA takedown/Lawyer’s letter to take down this post/subopena/whatever it is that forces me to rescind what I wrote here very soon 😛
In fact I will write on it, take a pretty picture of said letter, and post it for all to see. I will be celebrating the day when that letter/email comes.

Entry filed under: Bitching.

Asari don’t have 40 breasts filled with nipples.

But, I wouldn’t know for sure, since it’s banned.
