This is why I hate humanity sometimes.

Won what battle? The “make ourselves look like childish pricks” battle or the “make sure a lot of people hate us and will accuse us of never actually translating it to start with” battle? 😛 Personally I’m very suspicious that said translation ever existed. If it does, I still don’t want it (didn’t in the first place actually), I’d rather wait for some group with a maturity level slightly above 2nd grade level to do the translation.

I’m not going into a heated discussion about visual novel/game fansubbing community.
From my impression (as a third-party individual), either the VN/G fansubbing community is suffering from a massive hemorrhaging of respect, and it’s dying pretty soon, or people got sick and tired with the Internet drama resulting from blacklisted individuals (I am not going to name names).
It’s unfortunate. The demise of a community within a subculture has become worth nil.

1. The community is not dying. On the contrary, we’re still alive and kicking. Losing respect, yes, but not dying.
2. Yes people are sick of Intertubes drama.
