Time to rethink the standard.

Well, since all that hoopla happened and well, people are running scared in the streets and all, I’m thinking of thaking the blog in a new direction.

Small problem though, after animé, there’s quite a lot to talk about. Maybe I should actually get to reviewing doujin music, Touhou and the like, ala kwok, or report on the Visual Novel scene, or maybe doing doujin artist reviews. I’m a bit of a manga buff, see. I dunno, there’s a fair bit to be covered.

This is where you, the nonexistent reader come in. Suggest a field I could cover with regularity. Or at least make fun of. I dunno, as long as it’s related to otaku culture, I guess. I’ll still drop by animuland, and I’ll still crank out those editorials.

It’s a huge wide would out there, otaku culture, and I’m kinda lost. And that’s a good thing when you wanna start fresh.

And well, why the sudden purchase? It’s because I’m going back to polytechnic and I have to take Computer Animation (3D Animation) this semester. Also, I will be taking Creative Game Design. /o/ I rock. Now, while you computer junkies tell me this graphics card won’t do the job I want it to, the thing is, I’m on a bit of a budget, and there’s no way in Dante’s Inferno am I going to plonk down SGD$1000 for the proper card. So I’ll just make do with what I’ve got.

And now, off I go to ponder over how to install Linux.

The state of the *OSHI

For those of you wondering why no update for a week, I’ve been MMORPGing. After I’ve sworn off the stuff. Ugh.

A quick wrapup of the four or so months I’ve been writing:

I’m trying to get my anime-viewing in order, starting with Kamichu!. I really hope to write more, even though Certain elements of the fandom are seriously making me reconsider. And no, it does not mean I’m not gonna turn into lolikit. And no, this does not involve Jones Meow and his asinine manners.

Speaking of anime, if you want something to be written, comment away. I’ll consider it and we’ll see what happens. As it turns out, there isn’t much to really be angry about. Also, if you want me to cover a series, give a holler via comment. Who knows, I might actually do something about it.
