I think I may need help.

One man may be able to do a lot of things, but as it is, I stink at periodic updates, gatecrashing drama parties and generally being a lazy git is going to invalidate me way before my use-by date.

…That’s it, I’m unleashing the beacon for help.

I’m looking for two categories of writers to help me out: A dedicated second bro or sis (I do not mean that in the familial term) for dedicated writing and guest writers.

DEDICATED WRITER

He (or she) must possess the following things/qualities:

• Must be able to write. No third-rate trolls. EVER.
• Must be able to commit to a very loose schedule.
• No, Tyrenol, as much as I’d love to have you on board, you have some issues with the fandom in general to be considered.
• Must actually have fun writing.
• While I’m not too keen on doing episodic blogging, I’m… … … open to the idea.
• Willing to do collab pieces from time to time.

A Midsummer’s Oblivion Recording of SHINING FINGER

I knew I should have seen it coming. No really.

I love the movies, really, they’re a blast to watch, even though there have been some… … … liberties taken with the original script. But this has got to be the most liberal take on the events of Oblivion Recording, a shocking twist from the first five movies, where the scenes of the novels were animated just as I’ve seen it in my head. And might I add, these scenes were grisly, edgy, dark, and not very forbidding.

Personally, I feel that Kara no Kyokai is extremely dark in nature, and while I do appreciate ufotable for trying to lighten the mood, but by doing so, they have destroyed the darkest, most tragic part of the book (Murder Speculation 2 notwithstanding, of course, Lio must kick the proverbial bucket.)

[HERE BE MASSIVE SPOILERS]

Oblivion Recording is dark, disturbing, and horribly tragic. Kurogiri Satsuki knows how to speak the Unified Langauge and took up magic because one day, he was kinda kidnapped by fairies and he killed them all. In doing so, he lost the ability to recall and recognize his own memories. And then his parents disowned him. Ouji learnt magic out of deep-seated guilt complex that sprung up from not being able to help her friend in her time of need. And she was attracted to Kurogiri Satsuki because she was SO RONERY.Kaori… …. you know what? Just read this. If I went on, I’d probably break my own heart.

Let’s just say because ufotable decided to make Oblivion Recording AZAKA AZAKA AZAKA MOERU WA YO. they pretty much rewrote Oblivion Recording. I’m extremely conflicted about this, since the movie isn’t bad, per se, but because the story is lost in doing so, I’m mad. Really angry.

Always late to the drama party: The fanart ethics trolling of wildarmsheero

O HAI WAH.

I think we are all in agreement as to what we’re supposed to do when it comes to fanart, something I think wah would be relieved to know. Yes, we do agree that we all should cite the source of the pic, if only to avoid the hordes of  “sauce plox” that would happen should 4chan stumble upon our sites like rabid locusts to grain.

But unfortunately, what we do after agree with with wah is another matter altogether. Though I would really like it if the artists signed their works, like in the old days.
