BREAKING NEWS: Pikachu loev fansubbers
February 4, 2008
No, srsly, I’m not making this up.
…Wait, 10? Fansubbers are in the hundreds, at the very least. And not all of them are high-quality, professional-level translators and the like.
While it’s interesting to see Japan finally have a breakout of common sense, still, I would like to see something big going on.
Shame we won’t be seeing people dying in the streets from Japanese machinegun fire. Drat.

Holy shit! A media company’s actually going to try to do something other than sue the pants off copyright infringers? Are those four horsemen I see on the horizon?
Seriously though, I’d wait and see how things really turn out (especially once they learn that there’s far more than ten fansubbers), and whether this is an isolated incident. This is likely something that goes nowhere, especially given that they’re using Youtube to find the subbers.
