Onoz teh whales
Yes, yes, we hear you, Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd, retarded public, and stupid governments, we know how you value the life of an animal (a rather big and majestic animal, but an animal, nonetheless, I haven’t seen an animal being able to discuss the validity of theology or the ethics of business with me or another human being, and until I see that, I do not think I’ll see it their way) over the life of a human being.
So let’s get this one thing straight. You want us to help destroy what little economic worth Japan has because they don’t agree with you? Sure thing.
So how can I do this, considering I have a somewhat vested interest in Japanese animation and such and such? What’s that you say? Denounce the culture, stop watching fansubs, help destroy the disputed platform of exposure known as fansubs, cripple and undermine the American animation scene, turn my backs on the game-translation community and give them bad press, then link everything to the current fracas over whaling or propaganda that supports whaling? You got me sold, man.
(Drm note: Sure, you may think of me as seditious (I AM) and whatnot, flame me for all I care, it’s supposed to be a sarcastic comment(if you haven’t noticed, my humor is the kind that could send me to jail, and my sarcasm isn’t that far off either) to a untenable and stupid position on the whales (Some have even advocated a boycott on all things Japanese.). Sure, they’re endangered and all, and are pretty important to the ecosystem, and I think they should have the right to live out their lives in relative peace, but I can’t agree with groups like Greenpeace saying that the whales are more important than human beings. If you look at it from a rational point of view, humans are the only creature on Earth that has achieved sentience, and no other creature has done that. And from a theological point of view, we are special in that aspect. I’m all for saving the whales, too but I’m not going to the extent of these enviroradicals and their supporters in order to do so. And just as an aside, you don’t board ships in the middle of the ocean.)
