In response to tj_han: A big resounding NO.

Well, I’ve been meaning to pull off a post like this for a long while now. Just didn’t find the time or reason to.

tj, I am, and never was, proud of watching slightly better cartoons.

And why would I be? It gives me strange looks in public, makes people judge me by my hobbies and not by my abilities, make people shun me like a leper with AIDS and bird flu suffering from SARS, and worst of all, it makes people make me feel inferior, like a woman, or a black/Hispanic/second-class citizen.

Worse still, it changes how I act in front of people. Instead of being a nice lad who does his best to help people, it turns me into some immature idiot who lashes out at people when they do so much as make a passing comment about animé. I mean, you don’t have to look very far to see what I mean. And it’s not the Narutards or Bleachtards or the cosplayers that are ruining the hobby (though they do have to share the blame), it’s the people who PRESUME they are superior to the masses because they have access to something ‘better’.

Well, lemme tell you this, you pricks, and I know I am speaking to a lot of them.

YOU’RE IDIOTS. ALL OF YOU.  IDIOTS FROM THE BRAIN DOWN.

Watching animé does not make you smarter. Reading light novels does not make you feel cultured. Playing eroge does not make you any better than the man in the street. Reading manga does not make you a better person. Heck, even maintaining an animé blog does not make you an activist. If any, it actually makes YOU the target of ridicule, and you’d best be prepared for a lot of it. A whole fucking tidal wave or two every time someone mentions it. I should know. I got called out for maintaining this several times already. And I don’t think it’ll ever stop until I stop writing.

Being otaku does not make you a winner at life. It only makes you a LOSER. That’s right, a LOSER. A LOSER with INADEQUATE SOCIAL SKILLS, LOW MENTAL CAPACITY, and quite possibly ZERO TOLERANCE to society. You will not fit into society, or become a productive human being. In fact, by freely admitting that you are otaku, you have handed yourself a GAME OVER in the game of Life and that you are a FAILURE AT LIFE.  Hey, guess what? 4channers are also failures at life too, but at least they do something DESTRUCTIVE and get a NEWS REPORT ON A TELEVISION CHANNEL. What do you fuckers get? NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO. In fact, Japan has given up reforming these losers and begun profiting from the very same losers worldwide.

And don’t give me shit about Densha Otoko. He chose to be a better man for his Hermes, so he clearly is a winner at life.

In short, otaku are NOTHING but LOSERS and FAILURES who are viewed only as CASH COWS TO BE MILKED by very enterprising people in Japan.  It is quite unfortunate that a lot of people choose to fail at life, but it’s their choice, not mine.

The amount of facepalms will never fully express my disappointment.

(I get the same shit about religion, but that’s another kettle of fish.)

Oh dear Lord… forgive me for taking your name in vain, but the sex scenes made me go WTF and I must go kill myself right now.And that’s just the first two. And there will be a lot more. I feel like the lowest form of human in the world.

Well, I’ll dispense with the comparison-talk and tell it straight: Aeka IS Shiori, sans the crippling illness. Floogin’ blanket and all. And yes, all the “You get to screw a girl on her Linus blanket” jokes can be used here. And then you will assume the foetal position and shudder VIOLENTLY.

And why do I say that? Because what we are doing is basically taking advantage of a woman/girl desperate for some attention and love. It is a most sickening thing, taking advantage of a girl’s feelings, and even if it was done with wholly good intentions, it will bother me. A lot.

And well, regarding the whole bullying schtick, it’s a big problem here. It’s quite uncontrollable, because the teachers don’t really care about it. From physical intimidation to online slander… Yeah. It’s something no one pays full attention because they delude themselves that it either does not exist, or it does not concern them. It’s so bad, I consider schools to be unconsciously ‘teaching’ hate, in addition to the subjects they usually teach.

Why do I say that? It’s because hate is taught, not inherited. And the schools are doing a fine job ‘teaching’ hate. Aeka’s treatment in school is a mirror into our own world. Now, while I have been less than fortunate to have witnessed bullying in action, I have been a bully, and a target for hate. To be honest, it was rather childish of me to pick on a fat kid when I was young, but he eventually did forgive me, and we got along fairly well until we parted ways. As for being a target of bullying, it was horrible. I was picked on in primary school, and again in secondary school. And believe me, it sucked. To be a target for unmitigated hate is a horrible thing.Online bullying? Yeah I’ve been through that. Unlike most people, I was born a warrior, and I really never gave up, though my negative feelings did get channeled into rage and I caused a lot of trouble because of that.

I have tried my best, in the past, to stop bullying in whatever way I coulld. It is a horrible thing, and it should be stopped. If we are to pass down a legacy of hate to our next generation, it is one of the lousiest legacies to leave behind. It does not bode well for humanity as it has already manifesteditself in many places.

No I am not done with the game, I am at the second sex scene, and I am still weirded out with the desperation and the sex and the…  I think I must go play Marip-
