THE CANCER THAT IS KILLING KYOANI

Yeah, couldn’t resist that.

Just finished watching Lucky Star, and well, it was marginally more interesting that I thought it would be. There were funny scenarios, but those were few really hard to find. If I wanted classic highschool humour, I’d rewatch Azumanga Daioh. That was much better than this pile o’ mediocrity.

If the show only has Konata and Lucky Channel to fuel it for 24 episodes, well, I can safely say it is a waste of effort on Kyoani’s part. Now, if it got turned into moé cooking and food tips, though, I ain’t saying no to that!

And now, a few choice lines.

Q: When’s the best time to eat the strawberry on a strawberry cake?
A: I DUNNO, LET’S ASK NAYUKI~
Nayuki: … … …Go away.
OWAIT HER MOM GOT CARWRECK’D! LET’S ASK SUMONE ELSE!
Ayu: Taiyaki ftw~
Makoto: *OSHI SHE IS A FOX SHE CANNOT SAY ANYTHING*
Shiori: I like Ice-cream ^_^ *Shortly after saying this, she got sniper’d by Gain Bijou*
Mai: …Gyuudon.

Oh, and the cancer that is killing KyoAni? They are too reliant on attention-to-detail. If you read the desudesudesu manga, the quality is almost the COCKMONGLER same as the animé. While this may be KyoAni’s strongest point, it is also their weakest. Without any form of minor rewrite to the script, they are only able to /b/lackup produce animé that are a bit too faithful to the manga series. So I hear you liek mudkips. And that’s the cancer that is killing Kyoani.

It is a sad day when /b/ is more interesting that an animated series.

While I do believe that spot-on-attention-to-detail can be a double-edge sword, you do now that the fans are also too attentive to detail right? If something is left out they will go ballistic cursing the studio on the harassment they did to the fans beloved series.

In case of KyoAni’s production to this , the one who is the cancer here is the fans. Why?

    1. KyoAni announced LuckyStar – KyoAni fans were ecstatic.

    2. Fans saying that because its KyoAni something great will happen. Something out of this world.

3.KyoAni released a 15 sec commercial about nothing, and the fans raved about it.

Now KyoAni will have a hard time pleasing the fans with series that they want to do because fans will ‘”almost” always compare it to Haruhi.

Give the studio a goddamn break. 1 episode from a 4Koma manga and all hell broke loose.

P.S. I liked the second part of the episode, still I ain’t a big fan of 4koma adaptations. Maybe that’s why I was able to judge it clearly even though this is KyoAni we are talking about.

Please what fans? You mean the dipshits online? The Aniblog community is a highly inaccurate example of receptivity.

And DRM you obviously ran out of ideas to write. I’ll give you some, how ’bout writing how surprising it is that retarded girls can pair up with intelligent males in real life just like in Kanon?

Based on what I have seen now, that’s what I 100% believe now. Well, I’m not just speaking about the AniBlog community, also about the so called “KyoAni fanboys”.

Them call them Gods, then when KyoAni did something they didn’t like, they immediately jumped ship then calling them all the heretical things they can think of. And what’s funny is that all of this drama for a 4Koma manga adaptation.

Lian: I jave a few ideas up my sleeve. I’m just waiting for the right time to initiate them. Don’t make me break schedule.

Moar: I neeeded an excuse to throw in /b/ memes, in celebration of a Nurse-kun thread. Also, I had already somewhat planned the very nature of this post.

Humanity is the cancer that’s killing the Earth. I don’t think a genocide is the most tasteful way of curing it. Then again, who knows?

I can’t believe that drm went pussy. Now excuse me while I try to find again a totally moé sample of Ebola to combine it with the equally moé Common Flu in another cheap attempt to wipe mankind from the face of this molten iron ball floating in the void.

Had anybody heard? The adult anime “Legend Of A Pervert” (Chikan Monogatari) from Kitty Media had to have around 15 minutes of “too-much-loli” removed. In fact, Kitty wasn’t planning on releasing it at all.

Whatever cancer’s out there, I doubt it will spread. Not everybody is into things that are just cute.

On the side note: 4koma’s only funny when it’s minor joke that’s not told (more than) twice. Not to diss Claymore, but I wonder how less chilling it would be if the show had a minor 4koma gag.

Agreeing with both Moar and Drm on the point of “attention to detail” here. Make it too faithful, and people complain. Make it stray too far from the manga / whatever source, people complain. I blame the stupid double standard for making anime this much harder to enjoy.
