Group E: Even though Spike has some slick moves, he couldn’t dodge the LOL MISSLESPAM of a Veritech fighter. Also the Space Fortress ******* landed on him. Roy Focker makes it to the next round.

Group F: Hiromu Arakawa declares that Maes Hughes had to lose, and to be a bloody stain on the Devil Gundam’s heel LOLOLOL. Master Asia proceeds to the next round due to a DEUS EX MACHINA (not).

Group G: Poor Char. One minute he was CHAR KICKUing the King of Braves, the next, his second banana curse popped up and he got Goldlion Hammer’d to non-existence. Shishio Gai smashes his way into the next round.

Group H: Kasumi Kenshiro WATATATATATATATATATATATATATTATATTATATATATATTATATTATATA’d Alex Louis Armstrong to deah. Not much to be said here.

Group C: The most epic of mahjong games started. Hajime Saitou and Akagi Shigeru clacked tiles for 23 straight hours, until Akagi nabbed a most GARlicious victory from the hand of defeat.

Group D: Wolfwood got arrested for illegal firearms possession and touching little boys at night, making the totally GAR Onizuka win by default. orz

And we’re here at SaiGAR Arena. Round 3 has already started, and things are heating up. Here are the results for the first two rounds:

Group A: It was a tough battle. Dio WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY’d his best, but his manly timestopping powers and incredibly GAR steamroller couldn’t beat the haxness of GARCHER. GARCHER proceeds to the next round. Incidentally, this post has become incredibly GAR.

Group B: Bright Noa did his best, even giving Guts his barbarian backhanded Brightslap, but that was that. Guts cleaved him (and the White Base) into two with his incredibly GAR sword of GAR. Guts proceeds to the next round.

If you’re wondering why I don’t have a Singles Awareness Day post, it’s because I am a) a cheapskate, b) all too keenly aware what is wrong with my social life, and c) am aware of it everyday.

Overman King Gainer is the epitome of pure awesome. It even surpasses ANY KyoAni work by a factor of pure awesome to the power of infinity. Past, present and FUTURE works included.

Included here are the reasons why Overman King Gainer is pure awesome:

• The OP. It is the single most awesome OP ever crafted. I don’t care what bullcrap you throw at me, nothing can compare with the sher awesomeness of this OP. It has to be seen to be believed.
• Yoshiyuki Tomino was the director. I know it doesn’t mean the whole world, but it’s not the Tomino we know and love. Yes people, this is not OMFG-I-am-so-emo-everyone-must-die Tomino, but Happy Happy Crack Acid Trip Tomino. So no angsty pilots and shit. If he was responsible for that awesome OP, by Jove he’s a genius!
• One of the characters is a badass sniper. As seen in most Tomino series (Gundam, more Gundam, 08th MS Team, even more Gundam), especially in 08th MS Team, snipers are uber hax. They take down any unit, be it grunt unit, boss unit, or secret boss unit or even the main character’s unit with max plot armor (though it does not stop the mian character’s unit from doing something). And since one of the characters is a badass sniper, he gets the uber hax, plus plot armor, increasing his haxness by a hundredfold.
• Some of the craziest mecha designs this side of Asia. Yes, a mecha with hair. You heard that right. Mecha with hair.
• THE AWESOME FIELD. Yeah, I know it’s called something else in the show, but THE AWESOME FIELD sounds a lot better.

Oh, and the usual drivel of great story, believeable characters, fluid and consistent animation and the like.

But who cares about the usual drivel. Or the fact that I am 3 to 5 years overdue. This is a definite must watch, damn the weirdness.

• Jeeg: More mecha? Oh well. YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD LEARN THEIR OLD MECHA
• Emily of New Moon: Errr… … … old English books are win?
• Seirei no Moribito: ARGH Manegg

• Sugar Bunnies: Yes I have officially gone off the deep end. A show aboput sugar and plushie rabbits prancing along in their merry sugarland. For some reason, this show and it’s kiddy themes are strangely compelling.
• Nagasarete Airanou: Guy crashlands on uncharted island, doesn’t leave because of females. For some reason, this combination is strangely compelling and erotic.
• Kamichama Karin: No, not to be confused with the crazy adventures of the nosebleeding vampire. Also, done by the mangaka who did Pita Ten and Bottle Fairy (I think)
• Seto no Hanayome: Do not be fooled if the OP sounds like some old clasical Japanese music. It is a strangely hilarious tale of misunderstanding, homoerotic tension, and a little loliassassin who just can”t seem to kill her mark =3 Oh, and the male lad is a little messed up in the head.
• CLAYMORE: I don’t get it. Is it Joan of Arc in anime form?
• Blue Dragon: Yes that XBOX360 Game. Yes, Akira Toriyama had a hand in it. No, it will not have 15 episodes of two groups of people charging their lazers. Or dragons.
• Monster Princess: Not too clear with this series. need more research. And more Altrouge =3
